There are so many interesting books to read! Some of my favourite books revolve around personal growth, spirituality, philosophy, theology and motivation. Amongst the many books I’ve read, one of my last reads is a pearl and a must-read. It’s the Motivation Manifesto : 9 Declarations to Claim Your Personal Power by Brendon Burchard, a New York Time bestseller author.

Among the Easy Read Books Packed With Wisdom
So let’s dive right into it with this book which I recommend. I actually stumbled upon the title of this book on a friend’s Instagram. She seemed to love its content. Curious as I am, I went to have a look on the ever-plentiful internet.
To be honest, I did not really know what to expect … the description focused more on the bestselling aspect than the content itself. Being in a rush, I was attracted to the preface written by Paulo Coelho and I simply decided to order it online and bring it with me on my three-month trip to Europe.
I was slow in starting it. The cover did not live up to my expectations, the title sort of rebuked me and I did have any taste for a magical manifestation book that would not help me in a difficult situation I was going through.
But hey! When I started reading the book, I was totally absorbed by it. Let’s just say that I drank the wisdom that came from it just like I’d drink water from a fountain in the middle of a desert.
Thought Provoking Manifesto/Book
Far from being magical, this book sets the foundations for new beginnings. I don’t know about you, but my TikTok and Instagram have been filled with manifestation videos. These videos have become so viral. Many will be lured into believing that all you need to do is set intentions and wait. The manifestation rituals have replaced the traditional novenas or devotional prayers.
Yet, we often forget the importance of setting intentions and putting actions into motion that will help us reach our goals. I profoundly believe it’s a question of faith/belief. No matter what we set our minds to, as human beings we have the ability to adapt and we can certainly reach new heights, new goals.
Well, let’s just say that this book brings us deep into this needed space where we build our foundations. It is thought provoking, proposes lots of positive insights. It will probably help you better focus on the right elements.
Among The Books to Read Over and Over Again
In other words, this book explores the fundamental driving forces of human beings and shows how these can help you in achieving your goals, or keep you from your true purpose.
The 9 affirmations allowing us to claim our personal power are 9 meditations on human behaviour and on the positive and negative actions we are capable of.
No magical formula, no secret and no magical spell! Only deep thought reflections and insights that will make you think, evaluate, reevaluate and help you create the right mindset to achieve all your greatest endeavours. Brendon Burchard identifies two negative forces that can keep us from achieving our goals. One is external and is defined by social oppression and the other is internal – your fears and doubts. Only by overcoming these negative forces can we succeed.
I will definitely read it again. It is worth every bit of time I’ve spent reading it. I usually read books and then give them away as a gift of wisdom for others to read. Few are the books I keep for future reference. This is one of those books that should be part of your personal library. As for me, I will definitely keep it!
